BUILSA S: Assembly hands over sanitation projs

This week UNICEF and the Builsa South District Assembly handed over some sanitation projects (toilet facilities and boreholes) constructed with the support of UNICEF to some beneficiary schools.

The District Chief Executive of the area, Daniel Kwame Gariba said the essence is to introduce the concept of Open Defecation Free to “our children right from the Basic schools”.

In all Eleven (11) schools benefited from the first batch of the project.

 

The Schools are; Gbedema primary, Gbedema JHS, Fumbisi Preparatory, Wiesi Primary, Jagsa Guuta Primary, Naadema primary and Chansa primary schools.


The rest are Musidema primary, Kanjarga primary, Kasiesa primary and Amaachaab primary schools.


Speaking after the handing over ceremony, the MCE noted that seven more schools will benefit this year, insisting that the Assembly with support from its development partners, is committed to tackling sanitation head on.
