MCE presents furniture to GES

Mr. Bomba-Ire Martin, the Municipal Chief Executive of Lawra on behalf of his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the common fund secretariat presented 200 pieces of dual desk to the Municipal Director of Education Lawra for distribution to some selected basic schools in the Municipality.

Mr Bomba-ire advised school management committees to handle the furniture with care and maintain them to help reduce the financial pressure on the Assembly.

The Municipal Education Director, Madam Sophia Dimah who received the items commended the Government and the Assembly for the support to strengthen and improve on the furniture situation in the Municipality.

She called on the government and the District Assembly to support the Education Directorate to improve upon teaching and learning in schools.
