Birim Central Assembly approves Joyce Adjoa Agyeiwaa as MCE

Joyce Adjoa Agyeiwaa, the Birim Central Municipal Chief Executive nominee was approved by Assembly members on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

With a 100 percent approval from the Assembly members, her overwhelming endorsement attests to the preparedness of the people to work with her for the growth of the municipality.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong, who commemded the Assemblymembers for their approval assured them that the decision is a positive step towards accelerated development.

The new MCE in her remarks expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in her and promised to work with all and sundry for the good of the people in the municipality, particularly ensuring that the municipality gets its fair share of the national cake and called for support from constituents.

Profile of Joyce Adjoa Agyeiwaa

She is an accomplished entrepreneur and business executive with over twenty-four (24) years of experience in business development, entrepreneurship, and wholesale distribution.

She is the Chief Executive Officer of J.A. Agyeiwaa Enterprise Ltd with responsibility for the overall development of the company and driving the direction the company takes, supervising other executives and managers, overseeing growth plans, and meeting business targets and objectives.

She is also a leading Distributor Partner for PZ Cussons with a proven track record of managing business deals exceeding $3 million and championing distribution operations for PZ Cussons products in Ghana and the West African sub-region.

Again, she is a principal Distributor Partner for Phyto-Riker (GIHOC) Pharmaceuticals Ghana Ltd, performing wholesale distribution operations of the company across the country.

More so, she served as Administrative Assistant in the defunct Oda Sawmill Company Ltd from 1993-1996 where she provided administrative support services including managing and supporting day-to-day operations of the company, scheduling meetings and appointments, organizing files and handling correspondence and other support services for line managers and management.

Additionally, she worked as an Accounts Officer for Cream Timbers Company Ltd between 1997-1999 where she supported the Finance Director of the company in general accounting procedures including recording transactions, payments, expenses and processing invoices.

She is a resourceful and proactive member of the Akim Oda branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with a demonstrable record of contributing financial and logistical resources to the party since 1992.

She has worked closely with many stalwarts of the party in the Akim Oda Constituency such as Chairman Owusu, Chairman Ampa, Chairman Ofori, Chairman Benpong and supported the campaigns of Hon. Yaw Osafo-Maafo, Hon. Yaw Owusu Boateng, Hon. William Agyapong Quaitoo and Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah.

She is a strong campaigner, reconciliatory, affable, friendly, and an embracing figure with a strong grassroot touch.
