Practice personal hygiene to stay safe from COVID-19 - Ga Central MCE

The Municipal Chief Executive of Ga Central Municipal Assembly has distributed a sizeable number of nose masks, Veronica bucket, liquid soaps, hands sanitizers and tissue papers to some taxi, trotro drivers, and traders in Anyaa and Ablekuma market as part of efforts to control the spread of COVID -19.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com yesterday, Mr. Emmanuel Lamptey said with the directive making it mandatory for people to wear nose masks to public places, the Ga Central Assembly has displayed "No Mask, No Entry" notice on doors of its offices.

Whiles commending the Government for the numerous measures undertaken to deal with the spread of the pandemic and safe lives, Mr. Lamptey also urged the people in the Municipality to take their destinies into their own hands by practicing personal hygiene and other safety measures including social distancing.



He said good sanitation and personal hygiene especially regular handwashing with soap under running water was one of the surest ways of preventing oneself from getting infected.

"If everyone, everywhere had a place to wash their hands with soap and water as often as needed, and practice good handwashing behaviour, Ghana would contain and prevent the spread of many diseases, including COVID -19, Malaria, among others", the MCE stated.
