Assembly presents 400 dual desks to education directorate

As part of the government’s effort of adding to infrastructure as far as education is concerned, the Sekyere Central District Assembly has presented 400 pieces of dual desk to the District Education Directorate for onward distribution to help reduce the furniture deficit facing the District.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr. Kwadwo Banahene Bediako presenting the desk to the district education director Mr. Kwame Addo indicated that the donation forms part of the President's vision in the quest to ensure better education in the country adding that the Government sought to priorities education at the various levels towards improving teaching and learning activities to ensure sound education.

He noted that education has been the aim of the current government because the progress of every country depends on education.


“If you could realize, the President has initiated a lot of intervention programs for schools to attract everyone”, he said.
The DCE explained that the Assembly is committed to ensuring that the necessary support the District Education Directorate requires is given to enable them to discharge their mandate appropriately.

Mr. Kwame Addo assured the DCE that the Directorate will distribute the furniture as quick as possible to schools that are in dire need and promised that they will ensure that the furniture is maintain properly to ensure that they last longer.
