Fisheries Minister Presents Covid-19 Relieve Items to Ledzokuku Assembly

The Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Elizabeth Afoley Quaye has presented COVID-19 relief items to the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly.

The items included; twenty-five Veronica buckets with stands, fifty basins, six hundred nose masks, and ten gallons of liquid soap.

The remaining items are two hundred and fifty hand sanitizers, ten chest freezers, and sixty pieces of tissue papers.

In a brief presentation, Mrs. Afoley Quaye urged the Assembly to present the items to fisher folks in the Municipality, stating the importance of each of the items in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.



"We want to protect our fisher folks from getting affected by the coronavirus disease by protecting their lives", she stated.

The MCE for LeKMA, Mrs. Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah thanked the Fisheries Minister for extending such a gesture to Teshie.

Mrs. Twum-Gyamrah also urged residents of the Municipality to "continue observing social distancing protocols as directed by the government". She, therefore, admonished beneficiaries to make good use of the items.
