MCE Inspects cashew plantation at Kumasaal
The Lawra Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Martin Domotiere Bomba-ire has inspected a 30acre cashew plantation at Kumasaal after a brief sensitization exercise dubbed Complementary Livelihood and Access Support Scheme (CLASS) with the beneficiary community.

The plantation which is arguably the largest in the region is under the Ghana Productive Safety Net Program (GPNSP). It is the biggest of the four (4) projects being executed in the municipality which is geared toward fighting poverty in rural communities.
Adressing the people, Mr. Domotiere, outlined some of the projects the Assembly and the Member of Parliament, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo have done so far in the community and paramount among them are water and electricity and urged the community to continue to support him, the MP and the government in their efforts to see that their living conditions are changed for the better.
The project which has a workforce of 106 with each benefiting from monthly incomes has a duration of 3yrs.
The CLASS sensitization exercise is targeted at supporting already existing businesses to expand and also give start-up capital to those who are not in any enterprise to start doing something.
The sensitization exercise was facilitated by the Municipal Physical Planning Officer who also doubles as the projects coordinator, Mr. Hafiz Nasagla and supported by Mr. Stephen Suglo
