At Biokrom, his first port of call, the MCE and his team had their temperatures checked with the thermometer gun among other COVID 19 protocols before being allowed to pass through.

In an interaction with a Registration Officer in one of the centres visited, he said as at the time the MCE got there, about 54 people had registered for the day.

Mr. Takyi was impressed with the ECs adherence to the COVID 19 safety protocols at the centres.

He therefore seized the opportunity to call on Ghanaians citizens who are eighteen (18) years and above to see this as a civic responsibility and go out in their numbers to register while observing the COVID 19 protocols as outlined by the Electoral Commission.

He reminded them not to forget their proof of identity by visiting centres with either their national identity card, Passport or two guarantors who have already registered.
