Tano South Assembly Observe National Prayer and Thanksgiving

As part of the President’s initiative to promote spiritual unity and national gratitude, the Tano South Municipal Assembly joined the rest of the country to observe its maiden National day of Prayer and Thanksgiving with the themed: “Reflect, Reset and Renewal for National Prosperity”

The event is to promote spiritual unity and national gratitude.

The ceremony, which brought together traditional leaders, Assembly Members, Heads of Departments, religious leaders, and community members, aimed to seek divine guidance and blessing for national blessings through fervent prayers.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Kwame Frimpong, in his address, conveyed special greetings from

His Excellency John Dramani Mahama the President of the Republic of Ghana and commended his visionary leadership in championing a national initiative that foster, peace and unity.

He emphasized that Christians must strive to live virtuous lives that promote national development and success, urging the people of Tano South to desist from social vices such as illegal mining, environmental degradation, and deforestation that destroys the land and encouraged them to rather engage in activities that will up-lift the image of Tano South and contribute to the country’s overall progress.

Reiterating the significance of the occasion, Hon. Frimpong encouraged that praying for the nation and its leaders should not be limited to the occasion but must become a daily practice that fosters spiritual growth, divine protection, and ultimately national prosperity.

In his closing remarks, he expressed gratitude to all participants and offered a heartfelt prayer for the attendees wishing them good health, long life and God’s guidance.

Nana Adwoa Po Dwamena Serwaa II, the Queen Mother of Bechem Traditional Area, in a brief but impactful address following the prayer session, extended a warm appreciation to all participants of the National Prayer Day.

She urged the people of Bechem and its environ to unite and collaborate with the leaders of Tano South to drive the President’s resetting agenda forward, stressing that collective effort and teamwork is crucial in achieving the desired transformation.
