Banda MP donates 12,000 blocks to four churches

Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim, Member of Parliament for Banda Constituency in Bono region at the weekend donated 12,000 blocks of cement to four churches in Banda Ahenkro towards the construction of residences for their resident pastors.

He said at the presentation ceremony the gesture was to help promote religious tolerance in the area as well as an initiative to instill moral discipline among members of the various religious bodies to help curb bribery, corruption and promote transparency.

Mr Ibrahim, who is the deputy minority chief whip, reiterated discipline, hard work and integrity must continue to characterize the operations of churches in the country.

The beneficiary churches were Christ Apostolic, Assemblies of God, Roman Catholic and the New Apostolic.

Reverend Father Alex Osei, head priest of the Roman Catholic Church on behalf of the other churches thanked the MP ‘’for supporting God’s work’’.
