LOWER M K: MCE charges PWDs to make good use of their benefits
The Municipal Chief Executive for the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region Samuel Keaku Tetteh has admonished persons living with disability to make good use of the benefits received from the government as their share of the common funds allocated to them through the various metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies.

"I wish to take this great opportunity to advise our brothers and sisters to invest their items in a productive ventures to help uplift their standing of living and welfare".
The Municipal Chief Executive made this passionate appeal in an interview with ghanadistricts.com after a short ceremony to disburse the three percent share of the Assembly’s Common Fund allocated to persons living with disability in the Municipality which is aimed at empowering them to undertake economic ventures that will sustain their lives.
The items presented includes fridge's, popcorn machines and other items to empower persons with disabilities economically to get them out from street begging for arms which sometimes resulted in loss of precious lives.
Simon Kwaku Tetteh who was conscious that without monitoring the items will not be used to achieve it's primary objective of elevating the PWDs from poverty stressed that "as part of the Municipal Disability Fund Management Committee responsibilities they will conduct regular monitoring to ensure beneficiaries use the machines for its stated purpose to help eradicate poverty.
The MCE ceased the opportunity to solicit their unflinching support to the President as he promised government commitment to transform the nation.
Receiving the items the beneficiaries expressed their profound gratitude to the Akufo Addo led government and assembly for considering them for the gesture promising to use them in the ways that would benefit them and their dependants.
