Ga West MCE joins homowo celebration

The Municipal Chief Executive for Ga West Municipal Assembly, Clement Nii Lamptey Wilkinson has joined the people of Amoaman in the Adjen Kotoku Traditional Council and Medie Community, all in the Ga West Municipal Assembly to climax this celebration of the Annual Homowo Festival.

The MCE was in the company of the Presiding Member for Ga West Municipal Assembly Assante Solomon, Assembly members of Electoral Areas, Issaka Ibrahim Assembly Member for Medie, Henry Marbell Member for Kotoku Electoral area and Assembly member for Gonno, Hon. JB Danquah.

At Medie the MCE congratulated the Traditional Authority for a peaceful celebration and most importantly for the fact that they have been able to come together as a people to be part of this year's Homowo celebrations after over a decade of chieftaincy disputes.


Mr Wilkinson also assured the Chiefs, Queen Mothers and Asafoatses of Medie Traditional Authority of Government's support in bringing infrastructural development to the area. Notably the MCE indicated that the Medie town roads and drainage systems would receive some facelift and thanked the Hon. Issaka Ibrahim Assembly Member for the area, for his hard work and efforts in making sure Medie is peaceful.

The Head of family for Medie Traditional Authority Richard Odarshia Lamptey , a.k.a. NII ARSHIA in his speech also thanked the MCE and MUSEC for keeping Medie and the Municipality appreciably calm and encouraged the MCE to keep up his good work.

AMOAMAN-KOTOKU TRADITIONAL COUNCIL

The MCE was joined by the Assembly member for the area Henry Marbell to congratulate the Chief of Amoaman , his sub - Chief's, Elders and the beautiful people of Amoaman on a peaceful celebration of this year's Homowo as they always do and thanked them for the unity and peace that exist amongst all the other Chiefs and communities in and around Kotoku.


The Wilkinson also added that the Kotoku township will soon receive a face-lift in terms of development in road infrastructure, expansion of the existing Educational, Health and Security Facilities in the area.

The Chief of Amoaman Okromansah Nii Amoah VII also thanked the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo led Government, the Greater Accra Regional Minister and the MCE for making the Kotoku Market operational after a long period of waiting and uncertainty.


The Chief also congratulated the Ga West Municipal Assembly for placing 1st in the Greater Accra Region and 2nd in the whole of Ghana in the recent performance rankings of all MMDAs by the Local Government Services.
