Prez commissions Pokuase Interchange

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has commissioned the Four Tier Pokuase Interchange, the first of its kind in Ghana and West Africa, and second of its kind in Africa to help improve traffic flow in the capital.

The project, which began in July 2018 and funded by the African Development Bank is expected to help solve, once and for all, the nightmare endured for several by this vicinity.

Speaking at the commissioning, President Akufo-Addo said it was “important to put on record that the original contract design was for a three-tier interchange.”

“Through efficient management by my government, the Interchange was modified to a four-tier structure within the same contract sum”, he added.

The President also expressed his appreciation to the African Development Bank for their continuous support for Government in the execution of the project.

He appealed to drivers and other road users to adhere to all road safety measures put in place by authorities to avoid accidents.
