WAEMA Organizes capacity building training for staff

Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly has organized a two-day capacity building training for its staff to equip them with the relevant skills to enable them perform their duties effectively at work place.

The training was organized for them after the completion of training needs assessment for each staff which informed the management of the Assembly the priority areas of courses relevant to their assigned duties which could enhance their work output to achieve the set targets of the Assembly.

The Municipal Chief Executive,  Helena Appiah in her remarks at the opening ceremony for the commencement of the training programme advised the participants to take the capacity building training programme seriously because the success of the Assembly depends on the maximum output of the staff in the performance of the duties.




She said that was why the Assembly has taken it upon itself to organized the training to keep the workers abreast with the dynamics in the working environment to enable them use their technical expertise to achieve the desired results of the Assembly.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Bernard K. P. Sakyiama expressed his gratitude to the participants at the end of the training for participating fully in each session of the programme and said the knowledge they have acquired would forever remained with them to work effectively to achieve good results as they aspire to reach greater levels in their lives.

The participants were taken through courses such as; Public Procurement Processes and Legal framework, Information Communication Technology Skills, Effective Report Writing, Effective Communication Skills, Time Management and Supervisory Management and Local Government Administration and Revenue Sources for Local Government.
