Pay taxes to generate revenue for smooth running of District

Mr. Francis Kwadwo Oppong, the District Chief Executive for Dormaa West District Assembly in the Bono Region has advised motor tricycle Owners and riders in the area to pay taxes to ensure smooth running of the district.

Popularly known as PRAGYA riders, the District Assembly held the meeting to help sensitize them on the need to pay legitimate taxes to generate revenue for the smooth running of the District.

The Assembly said each PRAGYA will pay a levy of GHC 1 each working day and an embossment fee.


The Assembly assisted the PRAGYA Association to elect their executives to help their steer their affairs.

Representatives from the Dormaa West District police command took turn to educate them on motor traffic regulations.



After their election, the newly elected chairman, Mr. Isaka Shai former Assembly member thanked the DCE and his Departmental heads for the sensitization.



He assured the Assembly of his outfit’s readiness to work hand in hand with the Assembly and the police to avoid possible contravention of the law.
