MCE visits Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana
As part of familiarization tour since his assumption of office, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr Umar Babs Bodinga (Alhaji), of Abuakwa North, visited the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG).

Led by Dr Richard Adu-Acheampong, Deputy Executive Director, said, his visit is to introduce and familiarize himself with the institution.
He added that his predecessor, Mr Owusu Twum-Ampofo and the Municipal Assembly had a healthy relationship with Cocoa Research Institute Of Ghana and he is also coming to strengthen that ties for the socio-economic benefit of all for his doors are always opened and also expect the same courtesy extended to him.

The MCE taking a swipe on the bad road networks in the Municipality, called on the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana to help the Assembly and the Member of Parliament, Gifty Twum-Ampofo, lobby for more Cocoa Road projects from COCOBOD to bridge the road deficit in the Municipality.
The MCE prayed that the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana support the Akyem Osiem, Afigya, fire victims as part of their corporate social responsibilities.
Dr Richard Adu-Acheampong after giving a brief history of the institution, said, the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana will continue to work hand in hand with the Assembly for the Municipality's development and the country as a whole.
He assured that, all the supplications from the MCE will be forwarded to the appropriate quarters for consideration and prompt response especially the bad road networks which has been a worry of all.
The MCE was accompanied by, Mr John Ankrah, Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Asare Gyekye, Presiding Member, Mr Stephen Osei-Wusu, NADMO Director, section of the staff from the Municipal Assembly, some Sub Committee Chairmen and the Press.
