The National Democratic Congress led by the former Offinso South Municipal Chief Executive and the current parliamentary candidate for the party ahead of the 2020 general elections, Haruna Yussif presented about 3,000 nose masks together with over 10 gallons and 200 mini-sized hand sanitizers to two taxi stations, Physically Challenge Action Foundation, radio stations and a large number of people living in the Municipality.

Mr. Haruna Yussif in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, assured the people of an additional 7,000 nose masks as the party has targeted distributing about ten thousand nose masks stressing that this has become necessary because every citizen needs to protect himself from the virus and as the region has declared a mandatory use of the nose mask by every individual is the Region.

According to the parliamentary candidate of the NDC, the fight against the coronavirus has become a collective effort, and as a great 'Akatamansodian' party in Offinso, they couldn’t have sat down and watched other people and organization donates without his party's effort.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, several individuals and organizations are providing PPEs to institutions and communities to enhance the fight against the deadly pandemic.

Mr. Haruna Yussif urged his fellow politicians to desist from politizing the pandemic saying the virus has no sympathy for political colours being PPP, PNC, NPP or NDC, let us come together fight this unknown virus from the county and the world at large.

He also advised those parliamentary candidates who chose to use the situation as campaign platform by posting their political campaign posters on PPEs before distributions or donation to emulate the Offinso South NDC as they distribute generously devoid of party colours.

On the other hand, Mr. Barima Antwi Sylvester the leader and founder of Physically Challenge Action Foundation in Offinso, upon receiving the items, thanked the NDC for the kind gestures and called on all well-meaning citizens and corporate entities to support his 80 disables with PPE'S to help them drive away the virus from entering their environment.

Mr. Antwi, in his short address to the party, complained that daily meals for his populates is their biggest challenge as far as the disabled foundation is concerned hence, calling for Non-Governmental Organisation to come to their aid.
