TECHIMAN N: RM assesses activities on prevention of spread of COVID-19

A delegation from the Bono East Regional Coordinating Council led by the Regional Minister, Kofi Amoakohene visited the Techiman North District to monitor the District's activities towards the prevention of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The delegation was briefed on the elaborated steps taken by the District Assembly coupled with efforts taken by Nananom, cooperate bodies, business entities as well as philanthropists.

The Minister and his entourage also visited the lorry terminal and the Tuobodom market to monitor the adherence to social distancing protocols before finally inspecting the proposed quarantine center allocated by the District's emergency response team.

The DCE while appreciating the kind support of all those who donated towards this course also promised the entourage that as a District, they will continue to fight together to ensure that no single case of the COVID-19 virus is recorded in the district.

He called for a continuous adherence to the preventive protocols as stated by health authorities and “most importantly let us stay home if we have no business doing outside”.
