AGONA W: Assembly endorses MCE nominee

The President’s Nominee for the position of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Agona West in the Central Region, Mr Evans Addison Coleman, has been overwhelmingly endorsed by Assembly Members of the area.

He secured 41 votes representing 93 per cent votes from all the 44 members of the Assembly including government appointees, who also took part in the election exercise.

The election was supervised by the Agona West Municipal office of the Electoral Commission (EC).

In his acceptance speech, the MCE-elect expressed gratitude to members of the Assembly for endorsing him as Chief Executive for the area.

He called for support from members and staff of the Assembly as he assumes office as MCE of the area.

He promised to ensure even distribution of projects in various electoral areas without fear or favour, adding that the growth of the municipality is a collective responsibility; hence members must work in unity to help promote development in the area.
