The project, when completed, will no doubt open up Abodom and its neighboring communities and by extension improve the local economy.

Speaking at the sod cutting ceremony, Municipal Chief Executive of Agona West, Mr. Evans Addisson Coleman urged the constructor, Sogabisco Co. Ltd, to speed up work and at the same time ensure value for money.

He also appealed to the chiefs and people of the area to give the constructor the needed support to enable him finish the project on time.

The MCE further assured them of the government’s relentless support to help improve their businesses.

On their part, the chiefs also assured the MCE and the contractor of their support to ensure that the project is completed as scheduled.

Meanwhile, Mr Coleman also seized the opportunity to pay a visit to Mr. Andrew Cann, a former Constituency Secretary of Agona West NPP who has been battling with illness for a while now.

He assured him of the Party’s support and other necessary assistance to overcome the illness.
