AGONA W: Assembly elects new PM

The Agona West Municipal Assembly in the Central Region has elected Mr Frank Yeboah as the new Presiding Member of the Assembly.

He garnered 42 votes out of 44 total votes cast to confirm his position in an election that was supervised by the electoral commission.


The PM only needed the support of at least two-thirds majority of support from Assembly members present and voting at the meeting.

Speaking after his victory, the new PM thanked members for their support and votes.


He urged them to always endeavor to deliberate on issues devoid of partisan politics to ensure development in the area.

He also promised to run an open door administration to all irrespective of their political colours and differences.
