Sustainable Development Goal four talks about achieving gender equality, social inclusion, and human rights for all.

Mr. Mallet said this when the Assembly presented items worth GH¢83,909.2 to 53 persons living with disabilities in the District at Kpeve.

He said the Assembly was committed to ensuring that PWDs were adequately empowered to become economically independent and support the local economy.

The DCE said the Assembly was also providing educational support to some PWDs at various levels of education to promote social inclusion.

Mr Mallet said the items were presented to the people based on business plans submitted to the Assembly by the beneficiaries and they have formed teams to monitor the activities of the beneficiaries to ensure that the items were used judiciously.

Madam Emma Adom, the District Director of Social Welfare asked the beneficiaries to make good use of the items, saying, these items will become meaningful to you and the society, only when you put them to good use.

She advised them to cultivate the habit of savings to enable them to make "proper" provision for the future.

The items presented were 15 chest freezers, two sewing machines, 15 table kiosks, ten bags of sugar, 14 boxes of soap, and three bags of millet.

The rest are; bags of cereals, 30 bags of charcoal, 21 livestock, two bags of maize, two bags of beans,  four bags of cement, bags of rice, and a
wheelchair.
