MCE inspects on-going road projects

Mr. Joshua Nii Bortey, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Krowor has inspected an on-going road projects in the area and assured residents to expect completion of work on time.

Roads inspected included a 3Km Asphalt overlay at the Nungua Regional Maritime University and dredging of the Nungua Mukwe Lagoon through the Regional Maritime University to the Sea.

Other projects inspected by the MCE are the 3 Tier Interchange and the 4 Lane dual carriage roads from Nungua Barrier to the Independence Square and the same to Tema Community 3 and from Nungua Barrier to Lashibi Traffic Light.

The MCE said the government recognizes the importance of roads transport in facilitating socio-economic development hence the confirmation of the “Year of Roads” to improve the quality of life of citizens and enhance economic growth.

Mr. Bortey added that, the Assembly realized the need for residents to have smooth journey on the road and also to alleviate the numerous issues raised by commuters.

He therefore urged residents to cooperate with contractors on the various roads for a successful completion.
