6 communities to get light before 2019

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Nadowli/ Kaleo madam Katherine Tieyirr Lankono has said that work is progressing steadily on the extension of electricity to about 6 deprived communities in the district.

The beneficiary communities are Charikpong, Yiziiri, Kaluri, Janguase, Kanyinguase and Pennitobo.

Madam Katherine, who made this known in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com said that the project which commenced about two months ago and will be completed before the end of this year.

“A number of high and low tension poles have already been erected in some of the communities and electricity will soon get to these communities”, she stated.

She was optimistic that the project would help open up the area and improve the living standards of the people.

The DCE also lauded the Akufo-Addo government for the numerous intervention programmes in the area.
