Nadowli Kaleo: DCE hands over start-up items to PWDs

The District Chief Executive for Nadowli-Kaleo District Assembly, Katherine T. Lankono, under the year of review, handed over items to persons living with disability in the district.

Madam Katherine encouraged them to use the items for the purpose it was given to them and she also advised them to use the items in income generation activities so that they are not a liability to society or be on the street to beg for alms.

The items were purchased through the disability common fund and it includes; sewing machines, farm inputs, refrigerators etc.

The beneficiaries PWDs were excited about the move by the District Assembly and they said these items will be of great benefit and will bring change in their living conditions for the better.

DCE concluded by saying that as this batch received these items another set of PWDs will benefit when there are funds for the Disability in the District and she encouraged them to work hard to make their earnings.
