Abirem MP spent Ghc 50,000 on school fees

Member of Parliament for the Abirem constituency in the Eastern region, John Osei Frimpong said he has expended Ghc 50,000 of his share of the Common Fund on the payment of school fees.

According to him the beneficiaries includes tertiary students who hail from the constituency and studying at various institutions across the country.

The young lawmaker who disclosed this in an interview on his one year stewardship said he supported a number of schools in the area in various forms including 100 bags of cement to the Amuanaprusa Community SHS.

The MP also presented several quantities of sporting equipment including jerseys to schools and communities such as Ntronang, New Abirem, Akoasi, Amuana Praso, Nkwateng among others in order to enhance sports in the areas.

Mr Osei Frimpong is also facilitating the acquisition of a 70 acre of land for the cultivation of a food crop plantation to complete government’s efforts.

The Abirem Member of Parliament said he is liaising with the District Assembly to begin oil palm production for the setting up of a factory in fulfillment of governments One District, One Factory initiative.
