The three unit block with ancillary facilities including store room, teachers’ common room remained uncompleted for some time until the DCE responded to an appeal from school authorities to have it completed.

It is an additional block for the school to help decongest existing classrooms that currently housed more than the required numbers for a class.

The objective of the new block according to Mr. Paul Aboagye is to create a conducive teaching and learning environment to enhance academic work.

According to him, the government places value on human development and has made infrastructure development in the education sector one of its priorities in order to increase accessibility especially for those in deprived areas.

In line with this, the DCE also distributed 8 laptops to 2 schools. Four each for Akoase Methodist School and Akoase Islamic School to facilitate the teaching and acquisition of skills in ICT.
