The Eastern Regional Minister, Madam Mavis Ama Frimpong assisted by the District Chief Executive for the area, Paul Dadzie Aboagye presented 450 metal dual desks for distribution to the various schools in district.  

The beneficiary schools include Old Abirem DA Primary 100; Afosu DA Primary and JHS 100; Oworomra DA School 50; Odontuase DA School 50; Akoase Methodist 50; Omanekrom School 50; and Kyenkyenku School 50.

It is hoped that these schools will not have their students struggling for sitting positions in order to benefit from teaching and learning.  

The furniture was a direct request to the regional education directorate and the regional Minister urged beneficiary schools to take good care of the desks.
