He made the call at his maiden meeting with heads of department and units of the assembly in Atebubu.

The MCE envisages a developed municipality through interventions in key sectors of the local economy among others by the end of his tenure.

“This meeting will help identify challenges and chart a path for inclusive growth whiles marking the beginning of a new chapter through the introduction of key initiatives for the development of our municipality” he said.

Hon. Ayaaba said revenue mobilization will be key in the execution of interventions in priority areas like agriculture, education, health, youth empowerment, water and sanitation as well as infrastructure development.

Whiles underlining a desire to motivate staff to work harder, he admonished them to eschew lateness and absenteeism adding that he looks forward to working with each one of them to achieve his vision for the municipality.

Various heads of department and units briefed the MCE on their roles, activities and challenges and also made suggestions on how some of the problems could be overcome.

Present were the Mr. Joseph Tang the municipal coordinating director and Hon. Yahaya Dindiok the presiding member of the assembly.
