Edward Owusu is DCE nominee for Atebubu-Amantin

Forty-three year old businessman Mr. Edward Owusu has been nominated by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the position of District Chief Executive for Atebubu-Amantin.

The nominee who holds a first degree in accounting obtained from the University College of Management Studies in Kumasi is the current Atebubu-Amantin constituency chairman of the New Patriotic Party.

Married with 5 children, Mr. Owusu was the chairman of the Atebubu Youth Association from 2000-2008.

The nominee hopes to consolidate the in roads the NPP has made in the constituency, emphasizing on the retention of the parliamentary seat the party won last December which was the first since 1992.

To achieve his four pronged vision for the district, the nominee intends to tackle head on the perennial water problem that faces the district and see to the fixing of main town roads.

He also has on his mind the upgrading of the Atebubu-Fakwasi and Atebubu-Seneso trunk roads as well as see to the enrollment in school of all school going children to ensure that they progress and take advantage of the free senior high school policy.

The Forty-three member Atebubu-Amantin district assembly will soon meet for the confirmation the nominee.
