DCE marks “My First Day at School” with pupils
Basic schools across the country today observed “My First Day at School” programme to welcome fresh entrants to nursery, kindergarten and class one.

In the Kwahu East in the Eastern Region, the District Chief Executive, Mr Issac Kwame Agyapong visited a number of schools including Abetifi Presbyterian Primary and JSS, pepease R/c, kwahu Tafo D/A primary among others to welcome the pupils to school.
Interacting with the pupils, He used the occasion to entreat the kids never to give up on their studies, set high standard in life so as to become prominent men and women in society since education is the key.
“I urged the little ones to make humility and constant studying part of their lives”.
Mr Agyapong also advised the pupils to be regular in school adding that absenteeism will only draw them back in their studies.
Furthermore, the DCE spoke about the advantages they stand to get from the free basic and senior high school education as its now being rolled out describing it as the biggest opportunity to become prominent men and women in the near future.
The teachers were however charged by the DCE, to play an exemplary role to the pupils since that’s the only way to bring up responsible people to take over the realms of leadership in the future.
