TEMA W: Texpo to be home of major development projects

Texpo, a major landmark of about 29 acres in the Tema West Municipality would soon become one of the most important centres in the Municipality as the Assembly has planned to site some important projects in the area.

When Ghanadistricts.com interacted with the Municipal Chief Executive, Anna Adukwei Addo on plans for the Texpo area, she revealed that the Assembly has earmarked some significant developmental undertakings which would be sited on that stretch of land.

Giving details of these projects, Madam Adukwei Addo noted that the Assembly’s office and court complex have already been built on the Texpo land occupying about 6 acres of land, while about 9 acres have been allocated for the construction of the Municipal Hospital under the Agenda 111 program.

Additionally, 5 acres has also been demarcated for redevelopment of the market to create a more conducive environment for trading activities.

Specifically on the market development, she promised to give the traders something befitting but affordable particularly market stalls, and stores.

More so, she is looking at putting up a butchery, daycare centre, improved toilet facility, clinic, proper parking space, as well as refurbishing the police station.
