MANAGEMENT OF TEMA WEST DONATE TO THE NUNGUA TRADITIONAL TOWARDS THIS YEAR’S HOMOWO FESTIVAL..

Management of the Tema West Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the Assembly Member, last Friday 9th July 2021 donated assorted food items to the Nungua Traditional Council to mark this year’s Homowo festival.

The donation which was done at the Nungua Traditional Council was part of the Assembly’s support to the traditional authorities within the Municipality as they mark the Homowo festivals.

The items include, cartons of frozen fish, cartons of beer, crates of non-alcoholic beverages, bottles of water, boxes of Schnapps, gallons of palm oil, bags of maize and an undisclosed amount of money.

On behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Adwoa Amoako (Mrs.), The Municipal Coordinating Director Mr. Muhammed Ali Amadu presented the items in the company of Hon. Patrick Laweh Osanyonmor Atitiati, the Presiding Member said the Assembly recognized the essence of traditional festivals in promoting unity in the country; thus, the need to support the Homowo festival..

Mr. Muhammed Ali Amadu, reiterated the importance of festivals in the country and how it helps boost domestic tourism for the development the country. The Paramount Chief of Nungua Traditional Council King Odaifio Welentsi III thanked the Municipal Assembly for the kind gesture.
