Asante Akim North Assembly supports Muslims towards Ramadan
The Asante Akim North District Assembly and Mr Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi, Member of Parliament for the area, have donated food items valued at 19,776 cedis to the Muslim community in the district in support of their fasting.

The items donated include, 50 bags of rice, 20 bags of sugar, drinks and bottles of water.
The District Chief Executive, Mr Oti Boateng who made the presentation at Agogo on Friday, said the items were to assist the Muslims to successfully complete their fasting. He commended them for living in unity, peace and harmony.
Mr Francis Oti Boateng used the occasion to urge parents, irrespective of their religious affiliations, to endeavour to invest in their children's education and also advised the youth to refrain from acts that would brand them as agents of destruction.
The Member of Parliament for the Area, Mr Appiah- Kubi, urged the Muslims to remember the country in prayers especially the President, MP, and DCE so that they can deliver and work for the development in the country.
He assured them that the NPP government, led by President Akufo-Addo and his team of competent administrators, would put the country on its sound economic footing to ensure that people benefit from whatever good business they set themselves out to do.
Receiving the items, Abdul Aziz, Chief Imam of the Zongo community in the district, described the support as timely and thanked the Assembly for the gesture.
He promised that the items would be distributed fairly to reach all including those who could not afford such items during the fasting period.
