Asutifi North District Assembly provides schools with infrastructure

The Asutifi North District Assembly has completed a number of infrastructural projects in some first and second cycle institutions within the district.

Mr Anthony Adjei-Mensah, the District Chief Executive (DCE), who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency at Kenyasi No.2, said since he took office in 2017 the Assembly has initiated and completed 11 infrastructural facilities in various schools.

Mr Adjei-Mensah said the beneficiary schools, of the facilities, which were financed by the Assembly's share of the common fund and whose cost run into several thousands of Ghana cedis include the Our Lady of Apostles Senior High School, and the TI Ahmadiyya School both at Kenyasi No.2, ICCES Vocational and Technical at Gyedu.

The others, he said, are the Methodist Primary and the Barima Twireku Ampem basic schools both at Ntotroso as well as the Roman Catholic Primary School at Kenyasi.

The DCE said the rest of the beneficiary schools are located at Tawiahkrom, Diaso and Kwakurikrom.

Mr Adjei-Mensah said the Assembly has also procured a total of 250 dual-desks for some selected schools within the District at the cost of GH¢84,000.00.

The beneficiary communities, he said, are Tawiahkrom, Kwabenaso, Alhajikrom, Esinianim, Aboagyaa, Yawbrefo and Goatisi.

He said the rest of the beneficiary communities are Obengkrom, Ntotroso, Kwadwokrom, Muoho and Kenyasi No.3.

The DCE advised the lucky communities to take good care of the facilities in order to prolong their life-span.
