Asutifi North DCE presents 600 dual desk to Education Directorate for distribution to Schools

The Asutifi North District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. Anthony Mensah has on behalf of the assembly presented 600 school desks to the District Education Directorate for distribution to basic schools in the district.

The donation is in fulfillment of the assembly’s pledge to provide the necessary logistics to facilitate effective teaching and learning in schools to train the man power needs required for the country’s development.

The assembly, at the beginning of the year pledged to support schools in the area with over 3000 furniture needs at a time most school faced furniture deficit for both pupils and teachers.



Presenting the desks to the education directorate, the DCE said the presentation was to help solve the shortage of desks in some schools and formed the third phase of the support in the district under his administration.

He indicated that the Assembly was going to provide more desks until all the schools have enough to promote teaching and learning.

Mr. Anthony Mensah task the directorate and teachers to supervise the use of the furniture by the pupils and assured managers of Senior High Schools (SHS) that their request for similar support has been captured in the assembly’s budget and will soon be delivered.



The District Education Director, Mr. Augustine Amoako Asare, commended the assembly for the gesture and described the donation as timely.

He promised the directorate will monitor to ensure it was used for its intended purpose to promote the development of education in the district.
