ASUTIFI N: DCE donates furniture to schools
The Asutifi North District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Anthony Mensah has handed over 500 dual desks and chairs to the District Education Directorate for distribution to 14 schools in the district to ease congestion and facilitate effective teaching and learning in the schools.

The donation, according to him became necessary due to the numerous calls by community members and educational authorities during his tour of communities under his jurisdiction.
He said the desire of government is to ensure quality education is provided to all children of school going age.
“To help my government achieve the desired quality education, a total of 2000 dual desks will be provided and this 500 desks forms the first phase of the distribution”, he emphasized.
Hon. Mensah tasked managers of the schools to exhibit good maintenance culture and ensure the furniture is used for its intended purpose and advised the pupils to take their studies serious become the country’s desired future leaders.
He pledged the assembly readiness to commit more of its resources in providing facilities such school infrastructure, uniforms, motivation package for teachers and teaching and learning materials to ensure quality human resource is produce for the nation’s development.
The District Director of Education, Mr. Grace Ivy Ameyaw for her part, commended the assembly for their constant support to the educational development of the area.
She noted the donation was timely and pledged her outfit’s readiness to take proper care of the furniture and appealed to institutions and development partners in the district to come to the aid of the directorate for speedy educational development.
