A situation report released by the district directorate of education signed by Messrs. Edward Anlaaku district Director of Education and Charles Amoah, Examinations Co-coordinator attributed pregnancy to 4 of the female absentees, with 2 having been married off before the examinations. One female candidate died while another travelled out of the country after having been married too.

While four stopped schooling after registration no reasons could be immediately adduced for the inability of another 4 to write the examinations.

Four suspected pregnant girls are writing the examinations together with one lactating mother.

The report observed that the lactating mother, the 2 candidates married off and one of the pregnant girls are all from the Amantin District Assembly Junior High School.

The 5 day examination which has about 1450 candidates sitting in the district ends on Friday June 9 2017.
