ATEBUBU: BECE takes off smoothly

This year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination BECE has taken off smoothly in the Atebubu-Amantin district.

One thousand four hundred and fifty pupils made up of 769 boys and 681 girls from 52 schools both private and public will sit in a maximum of nine subjects with French and information Communication Technologies ICT being optional.

A visit to Atebubu centers A B and C located at the Atebubu Senior High School at around 11.30 am this morning saw a number of candidates either discussing the English paper they had just completed or preparing for the afternoon Religious and Moral Education paper.

A few of the candidates spoken to did not have problems with the first paper and were thus optimistic of excelling in the entire examinations.

According Mr. Charles Amoah the district officer in charge of examinations, no significant problems had been encountered as at the time of the visit.

It was however too early for him to tell the ISD the number of absentees and reasons behind them.

The five day examinations rounds up on Friday June 9 2017.
