Akrofuom holds stakeholders meeting
The Akrofuom District Assembly has held a stakeholder meeting to help find a lasting solution to the rampant accidents involving motor riders popularly known as okada riders in the district.

The meeting was to bring to their attention the importance of their services to the people but also to acquaint themselves with laws that govern their operations.
Speaking at the meeting, District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. Maurice Jonas Woode charged the riders to be law abiding and also respect traffic regulations in the country.
He warned riders against unnecessary over speeding, overloading, riding without license and riding of unregistered motorbikes, adding that anyone caught in the act would not be spared.
The riders agreed with management and promised to abide by all the traffic regulations.
The District Coordinating Director Mr. Ebenezer Ntiamoah, the District Director for Education Mr. George Sarfo Kantanka and some personnel from the Security services were also present at the meeting.
