MCE donates PPEs to religious bodies

The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly presented one thousand and five hundred Personal Protection Equipment’s to churches and the Muslim leaders respectively to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the Municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Madam Comfort Asante, said the donation which comprises one thousand nose marks and thousand alcohol-based hand sanitizers distributed to leaders of churches and leaders of the Muslims at the assembly hall after sensitization on the importance and enforcement of nose marks usage.

Madam Comfort Asante, therefore, promised to continue with her support to the constituent whilst providing more projects and social interventions to alleviate their plights. She added that everyone’s life matters, so we should protect ourselves when having engagement with anybody.

She urged the Clergy and Muslim leaders to encourage their congregations to take the safety protocols seriously to protect themselves and to avoid any lockdown by the President.

Madam Comfort Asante said the government is committed to defeating the virus but the success of the fight largely depends on the attitude of the people to the preventive protocols.

The Clergy and Muslim leaders praised and thanked the government and the MCE for their support for their good work.
