The facility is expected to serve the Tlawa and its surrounding communities.
Speaking at a mini durbar in the area to hand over the facility, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Lower Manya Krobo, Hon Simon Kweku Tetteh commended leadership of the association for their effort and their way of carrying out their projects in the municipality.
He explained that, the group does not only concentrate their projects at one locality but covers all the three Krobo Administrative Heads which encompasses Upper Manya Krobo, Yilo Krobo, and Lower Manya Krobo.
''This group, Kloma Hengme, is very unique. I am saying they are unique because they are not only focusing their developmental activities at one place, but the entire Krobo area at Upper Manya Krobo, Yilo Krobo and Lower Manya-Krobo. I have opened my doors. Everything they want to do, they should come, and we will partner and together, bring development to the Krobo area” he said.
He revealed that, the Assembly has also begun construction work on some boreholes facilities at Oborpah East School, Wawase, and Yonguase, adding that there are plans to construct another one at Tslerdorm.
The Dadematse Chief of Tlawa, Nene Tetteh Amenyenu, commended Kloma Hengme for coming to their aid and constructing the facility for them. He said for many years, getting access to potable water was a big problem for residents of the village.
The Chief said during the harmattan, women and children used to travel long distances in search of water, and they had constantly been in danger of snake bites and attacks from other harmful reptiles on their ways in search of water.
''Thankfully, there is safe water readily available for us now, and our days of toil are now over'', he added.
