KADJEBI: Assembly supports 80 PWDs

The Kadjebi District Assembly in the Volta region has disbursed an amount of GHs 41,060 to 80 People with Disability (PWDs) as their share of the assembly’s Common Fund.

The amount is aimed at improving their standards of living by supporting and assisting them through economic livelihood ventures.


District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Mr Maxwell Kofi Asiedu who disclosed this noted that the disbursement was in line with the constitutional requirement of ensuring equal opportunities for person with disabilities.


He was addressing the Chiefs and Elders of some communities during his familiarization and thank you tour to the district.


He noted that the assembly through the Disbursement Committee was exploring new regime of skills and vocational training and start-up kits to ensure the social protection and sustainability of the welfare of the vulnerable in the district.


According to him, the NPP-government was fully committed to promoting and protecting the interest of all Ghanaians, especially the vulnerable in the society.


He urged the people to rally behind the government to ensuring that it carries out its numerous campaign promises.
