The district has so far recorded 36 cases as at December, 2021, which represent 57%.

The Kadjebi disease control officer, Mr. Derrick Atisu, disclosed that the district recorded only 27 cases in 2020, indicating that the number of cases as at 2021 was 117 compared to 114 in 2020.

Mr. Atisu highlighted that they were able to detect the increase on time due to routine screening and community surveillance, emphasizing that TB is a killer disease which mostly affects the lungs and other parts of the body such as the brain and kidney.

He further advised the public to get treated whenever they have a severe cough which persists for more than two days
