The assembly had been without its full assembly members when the new government revoked the appointment of government appointees of the former administration.

The Assembly is constituted with a 10 member elected assembly members and 5 appointed members. So with all 10 elected members at post, Her Worship Portia M. O Salia of the Asokore Mampong Magistrate Court sworn in the five members last Friday.

She tasked them to be proactive in the discharge of their duties as assembly members, and advised them to be law abiding to ensure law and order in the municipality.

The Presiding Member, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed urged the appointees to work in harmony with the elected members to ensure accelerated development to the assembly.

The appointees on their part thanked the judge, PM and MCD for the support given to them. They promised to work together with all stakeholders to that their mandate will be well served.

The appointees included; Madam Agnes Boso, Alhaji Labaran Malade, Nana Bropete Baffuor, Ibrahim Anyas Gibriel, and A. N. Shamuna.
