Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed noted that since the former MCE left office, things have been slow even though the Municipal Coordinator has been acting but there are certain duties and decisions that are only carried out by the MCE as such his absence has slowed down development.

According to him, the assembly is looking forward to confirming the nominee tomorrow alongside the inauguration of the new government appointees to make them substantive members of the assembly.

He said the public has so far not shown any rejection towards the nominee and hoped the confirmation would also move on smoothly as they yearn to start serious work to bring the needed development to the people.
