Akuffo Addo appoints remaining MMDCEs

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has named remaining 212 persons as Chief Executives for various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDCEs) across the country.

The president had earlier named four persons to head the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, and Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly and the 212 nominees will bring the total number to 216.

The nominees may however require a two-thirds approval by their respective  assemblies to confirm their positions.

Their appointment was announced by the Minister for Local Government, Hajia Alima Mahama in Accra today Wednesday 26 April 27, 2017.
