DCE rallies people to unite behind the government

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosomtwe, Ms Veronica Antwiagyei, has appealed to all Ghanaians to overcome pettiness and unite behind the government to successfully carry through its development agenda.

She said they should put aside political differences and work together with the goal of bringing socio-economic progress, adding that it was time everybody accepted to put the country first and demonstrate high level of patriotism.

Ms Antwiagyei was speaking at the silver jubilee celebration of the Beposo Kroye Kuo, a social organization formed by citizens of Beposo in the District, dedicated to the development of their community.

She spoke of a number of on-going projects to improve the living conditions of the people and cited among these as upgrading of roads with bitumen surfacing, expansion of education and tourism infrastructure.

The DCE praised the organization for the tremendous contribution made over the past 25 yearsto give the town appropriate facelift by way of electricity, water and sanitation facilities.

She pledged her readiness to work with it to tackle the development needs of the people.

Mr Simon Osei-Mensah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, called for unity of purpose among the people to rapidly transform the socio-economic conditions there.
