Bosomtwe District Assembly holds town hall meeting
The Bosomtwe District Assembly in the Ashanti Region, in collaboration with the Information Service Department and the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development held a town hall meeting in Kuntenase the District capital.

The meeting is aimed at bringing governance closer to the people through open interactions with the public to explain the government policies and programmes to the people.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Joseph Assuming in his address touched on measures to improve on developmental projects and their tourism by working on the Kumasi to Kuntenase Road to improve on their tourism site and also to boost revenue.
The DCE also gave pictorial evidence in his presentation on most of the things he has done since he assumed office, including interventions in areas such as Water and Sanitation, Agriculture, Roads, Education and the Health sector.
Nana Akrasi Sarpong, the Ashanti Regional Director of Information also took the opportunity to highlight on some of the flagship policies and programmes that the Akufo Addo led NPP administration has been implementing since they assumed office.
He indicated that government wants to have very good interaction with the citizenry hence the need for the town hall meeting. He urged the citizenry to support the DCE and MP in every initiative to bring progress to the district.
The meeting was well attended and participated by the DCE, MP, Presiding Member(PM), chiefs and opinion leaders, Zongo chiefs, Assembly members, heads of department and the general public.
