Kumawu waterfalls in Bonfobiri launched

Bomfobiri waterfalls in Kumawu in the Ashanti Region has been launched to improve on the tourism attractions in the district.

Bomfobiri waterfalls is close to the beautiful hilltop town in Kumawu.

The waterfall will add to the great experience in the town of Kumawu, where the waterfalls has been discovered and launched to invite investors and tourists all around the world to come over to enjoy the mountainous view of the town.

In his address to the well-attended guest from all over the region, the District Chief Executive, Samuel Addai Agyekum said that he was glad to discover the waterfall which will bring tourists to the district, adding that Kumawu is the centre of attraction as far as Ashanti Region is concern.



The Kumawuhene Barima Sarfo Twenwboa Kodua in his speech indicated that, though the land belongs to Kumawu Stool, the discovered waterfalls is in the care of the government, and therefore called on all and sundry to rally behind the DCE to deliver his vision and mission to the Kumawuman to bring development to the district.



The DCE also indicated that it has been his dream to make Kumawu one of the best in the country in terms of tourism, adding that the Bomfobiri wildlife sanctuary is one of the protected areas in Ghana managed by the wildlife division of the Forestry Commission.

Other guest of honour who also came to witness the newly discovered waterfalls is hiplife musician, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah.
